After playing four years of varsity golf at the University of Michigan, she worked for one year as an assistant golf professional at Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak. She spent three years as the girls golf coach at Seaholm High School in Birmingham as well as providing group golf instruction for the Birmingham Parks and Rec association. She has also provided group golf instruction through the community education programs at Farmington, Livonia, and Wayne/Westland.
