Yıldız, Kocaeli ve Marmara Üniversitelerinde öğretim üyesi olarak ders verdi. Kocaeli Üniversitesinde İnkılap Tarihi Bölüm Başkanlığı görevinde bulundu. Zübeyde Hanım Şehit Anaları Vakfı’nın kuruluşunu gerçekleştirdi.. . 20. Dönemde İstanbul, 21. Dönemde Kocaeli ve 23. 24. 25. Dönemde İstanbul Milletvekili seçildi. 54.
