Our hens are young, healthy and active, resulting in the production of the most delicious eggs! All our chickens were raised naturally, without any antibiotics, steroids or additives. They are feed quality, high protein layer feed, with the free option of vegetable scraps and unlimited water. This perfect combination gives us the most nutritious eggs around!. . All our chickens are free-range, which keeps them physically and mentally healthy and active. They typically leave their coop around 7:30 am to wonder around the farm, playing, scratching and eating any grain scraps they can sneak from the horses. They return to their coop at night, around dark, where they naturally perch up above the ground to keep safe from nocturnal predators. . . We currently have 10 hens & 1 rooster. Our roosters name is Big Red Fred, and our Hens names are as follows:. . Pricilla. Barbara. Donna. Susan. Thelma. Louise. Cindy. Miranda. June. Shania. . We are happy to announce that 2 more chickens will be added to our flock this fall! They were 2 of 12 fertilized eggs from our very own flock, which were incubated and examined by a local day care facility until they hatched the first week in September.
