Our goal is to give children fighting cancer a chance to enjoy life, have fun and be a regular kid, not a cancer patient! .
The McKenzie Monks Foundation was established to keep McKenzie Monks’ beautiful spirit and name alive by helping children endure the painful process of fighting cancer.
Although McKenzie was only three-years-old when she was diagnosed, she courageously endured 11 months of chemotherapy, 12 surgeries, more than 50 radiation treatments, and a stem cell transplant.
After seeing first hand the painful process of fighting cancer, those who loved McKenzie created the “Kenzie Kase” as a way to bring comfort to children going through the painful process McKenzie endured.

The “Kenzie Kase” is a replica of the suitcase McKenzie always had wheeling behind her as she under-went her cancer treatments.
The suitcases are filled with all the comforts of home include an iPad, toys, arts and crafts, games and a blanket! The ‘kases’ are age and gender appropriate and distributed to every child being treated for cancer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Banner Health Cardon Children’s Medical Center! Over the past 11 years over 2000 “Kenzie Kases” have been distributed to kids fighting cancer!.

The McKenzie Monks Foundation is also proud to join with Phoenix Children’s Hospital in the development and funding of their world-class pediatric oncology center, “the Kenzie Center”.
The McKenzie Foundation committed one million dollars to sponsor the new outpatient clinic.
The “Kenzie Center” is where young patients meet with their doctors, receive chemotherapy, and undergo other outpatient treatments! .
