Detailed description is We did this on a whim and it turned out to be a smashing success.
Never in our wildest imaginations did we ever think we would do something like this as a second career but we love it.
We have been serving discriminating guests from all over the world since 1994.
Our area is steeped in the history of Abraham Lincoln but our town has been here since 1839 when it was founded by trappers and traders.
Our inn was built as a private home for the family of David and Cordelia Hoover who owned a stage coach line which ran from Springfield, IL through Taylorville, IL to Shelbyville, IL.
Our 10 guest rooms are each different in furnishings and decor but all have either a Queen or King Bed, private, en suite bath, most with double whirlpool tub and shower and all but one have a fireplace.
We have always offered luxury and elegance at a price line much lower than the same amenities in heavily touristed areas.
