From reporting and broadcasting to sports marketing and public relations The Summer Pre College Sports Communication program at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
During our time on campus we learn the ins and outs of sports communication in college level courses with the opportunity to receive college credits.
Taught by Marist Professor Dr.
Keith Strudler and Dr.
Jason Genovese from Bloomsburg; not to mention our opportunities to meet with Marist Alumni from ESPN and a producer from NBC Studios, we are learning from those who are in the field and have had significant time working there.
Armed with this array of knowledge the students were given an assignment; to create a site and publicize it through social media.
This is a practical learning tool for the class to learn the responsibility of marketing and media through social networking sites.
