Art has always been a part of Marie's life.
As a child, her mother kept her well occupied with crayons.
An eighth grade teacher recognized her talent and encouraged her to always include art in her course choices....
and she did.
Later, with her husband's encouragement, she started sharing her creativity with others, teaching private and small group classes to all ages, as well as producing a television series.
During 5 years she taught the art curriculum at a private school from grades 2 to 8, in eastern Ontario..

Afterwards, milestone training and mentoring from Jack Reid C.S.P.W.C., gave her the self-confidence to forge ahead, selling many works from solo shows, commissions and exhibitions.

Yearning to paint Lighthouses, Marie is now fortunate to live in Prince Edward Island and enjoys painting the lifestyle, culture and history of the Island (not to mention eating potatoes, fresh lobster and mussels).
She is busy as a wife to Geoff (an accomplished musician), and devoted mother of six children, Anya, Alex, Natasha, Nadia, Katya and Marina.
