Detailed description is Mama Louise. A labor of love by King Bee.. one of the local roadies back in the day that Mama Louise would feed! This page came as a way of paying back. I was one of the freeloading hippie roadies that Mama would feed, back in the day. The Macon of those golden early 70's and my experiences at Grant's Lounge brought me back down to gather images for a tribute site I was working on for the band I was with - Birnam Wood. I'd 'borrowed' a picture from Mr. Grant's photo album, way back then, of an evening when Gregg Allman sat in with us. It was interesting to compare the picture I had in an album with another Mr. Grant had on the Wall of Fame for all those years! Anyway, as I was collecting images I began working on a site for Grant's Lounge, which brought me to the Big House, which was Kirk West's residence at the time, to collect some pics he had of Red Dog at the club. Long story short, we lunched at the H&H with the Hittin the Note guys and I offered to do a site for Mama. I put the site up as a tribute to the restaurant and the history of Macon that I grew up in.. the Capricorn Hey Day.
