Detailed description is Lake House for rent 30 min. from the French Quarter. 5 bdrms, 5.5 baths. Private dock for fishing & crabbing.. MGR: Diana Ullo . To rent: www.vrbo.com/417137 There's always a reason to party in New Orleans; be it Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, Christmas, or just because it's Tuesday. Luckily for you (and for us!), our summer home is only a quick 25 minute drive to the Big Easy!. . If you have never been to New Orleans, here's an example of how amazing our city and people is/are. It is located between Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Borgne on the famous Chef Menteur waterway. This is salt water with dolphins swimming right by the dock! It is a 2-story raised home.. . We decorate for all major holidays, but we can also decorate for your special event! Be it a surprise wedding engagement, birthday, family reunion, etc.! Just let me know when booking!. . Our vacation home has a private dock that is ready for swimming, fishing, and crabbing. There are two boat slips, so bring your boat and jet skis! The dock also has a jumping platform that the kids & adults really enjoy!. . The dock is fun for everyone. There's room for sun bathing, fishing, crabbing, and a swing if you want to just watch the water (or sit and fish). . The fishing is great, especially from August to November. **You will need to bring your own fishing gear, or you can hire a fishing guide/charter who has his own gear. You will catch red fish, trout, flounder, drums, catfish, and many other kinds of fish!. . There are 4 sinks with running water located on the dock to clean your hands or clean your catch! Crab traps provided! . . There are plenty of lights on the dock. You can fish all night! The lights shine right on the water to attract bait fish, so night fishing is really great! There is a half-bath located in the garage area, so there's no need to go upstairs for a bathroom!! . . We recommend and provide life jackets for all swimming activities. Please check with us to see if we have the size and number of jackets you may need.. . The house is over 3,600 square feet of living area; the view of the water is lovely! We have wood floors, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer and so much space. The floor plan on the first level is open to the kitchen, dining, and living area. . . There is a dining table to seat up to 10, a card/game table (with cover can seat 8 people as dining area), a foosball table and board games. The entire back wall of the living area is windows; you can see the water where ever you are on the main floor. A television with cable and DVR are located in the living area. . . There are 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms! There are 3 bedrooms on the the first level, each has it's own full-size bathroom; each bedroom on the first level has a a sitting area. On the second level, there are two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. We also have two full beds on the loft. All bedrooms have cable TV.. . The back porch is 440 square feet. There are two swings to sit and enjoy the beautiful view, as well as multiple chairs. It's my favorite spot to watch fish jump, hear the ducks quack, and catch a beautiful sunset. You can also watch the shrimp and crab boats pass, dolphins swim, and watch your friends & family on the dock. . . The lower level (covered garage area) is the perfect area to boil your seafood or use the stainless steel propane grill. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN PROPANE TANK. We provide the propane burner, boiling pot and cooking utensils for boiling or frying your seafood! There are plenty of lights in this 2,000 square feet-covered area! The half bath is located in this garage area.. . If you want to bring your boat and/or jet skis, there are two boat launches within a mile. We have two slips for your private use located on our private dock. . . We take a lot of pride in making our home your home! We provide the linens, bath towels, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, and so much more! Our home is large, beautiful and has lots of room for fun.
