One little kittens dream of having shop began when she finished her first few books. She dreamt of place where friends could come together, share their stories, and show off their handcrafted items. She never knew her friends were such talented artists and had such creative minds. What else can you expect when you met most them on a place called "Wild Island"? Mahieu specializes in cartoon drawings and in landscape painting using acrylics and oils. My most recent collections were inspired by travels to the Caribbean Islands. The bright colors and hidden beaches truly made an impression. Capturing the colors of the water and the lush vegetation was a challenge. Some of the scenes were painted from my memories of exploring the different islands. It was place where wild animals where she ran into some wild creatures that inspired a few of her characters.. . My style and media does vary depending on my studies. Most of my studies have been on elements of nature. I look for the natural inspiration around me. Sometimes the best ideas come from taking a Sunday drive in the car with a camera.. . . Media includes acrylic paints, watercolor pencil, and digital design..
