Detailed description is I founded Maggie's Barkery through my passion for baking and my love of my 2 rescue labs Maggie and Sandie. I wanted to bake them wholesome treats without harmful chemicals and preservatives. With all the recent issues I certainly don’t want to give them treats from China! The response has been overwhelming! . . Maggie’s Barkery offers several flavors and shapes and uses only high quality ingredients. I use ingredients with many health benefits like flax, wheat germ, pumpkin and all natural peanut butter. Maggie has been with us over a decade and always suffered from dandruff, even in the summer. Since Cheesy Flax Squares have come into our life, no more dandruff. I am completely amazed! I also offer several kinds of pumpkin biscuits - great for upset tummies and parsley, great for fresh breath. Currently we have pumpkin biscuits which are made with brown rice flour instead of wheat flour, perfect for dogs with allergies to wheat.. . My storage methods: As with any fresh baked product proper storage is very important to ensure the freshness of the biscuits since they are preservative free. I like to keep biscuits in the freezer. Every 3-4 days I replenish my counter supply, which I keep in airtight glass storage containers on the counter. Of course, I like to have 2 sizes available so I have a large & a small glass container filled with 2 different types biscuits at all times. Spoiled doggies!. . About the cookies:. . Peanut Butter Biscuits . . My girls LOVE peanut butter. These cookies actually contain double the peanut butter from the original recipe!. . Storage: These peanut butter dog biscuits will last in a sealed air tight container at room temperature for one week. They will last in the refrigerator for 3 weeks and in the freezer for up to 6 months.. . Ingredients include: whole wheat flour, rolled oats, all natural peanut butter & honey.. . . Pumpkin Biscuits . . Our pumpkin biscuits are wheat free - great for dogs with allergies to wheat! They are made with brown rice flour which promotes better digestion. Pumpkin is also a great remedy for doggie upset tummies, and also includes parsley… great for fresh breath!. . Storage: store in airtight container for 1 -2 weeks. They can also be refrigerated and will last for 6 months in the freezer.. . Ingredients include: brown rice flour, eggs, pumpkin, dry milk, pinch of kosher salt, and dried parsley.. . . Cheesy Flax Squares . . Flax is excellent for dogs’ skin and coats. Maggie has always suffered from dandruff until I started giving her a few flax squares a week. I am simply amazed at the difference in her coat! Also, flax is heart healthy!. . Storage: store in airtight container for 1 week on counter, in refrigerator for about 2 weeks. In the freezer, they will last for 6 months.. . Ingredients include: ground flax & parmesan cheese.. . . Peanut butter & Banana Treats. . Peanut butter & banana treats contain Wheat Germ which is an excellent source of Vitamin E and Folic Acid.. . Storage: store in airtight container for 1 week on counter, in refrigerator for about 2 weeks. In the freezer, they will last for 6 months.. . Ingredients include: whole wheat flour, wheat germ, all natural peanut butter, banana, honey. & egg.. . . Pumpkin Pie Bites. . Smells like Thanksgiving!. .
