Detailed description is Small, home based doggie day care. Maggie & Raffy are my social and PR directors and between the three of us, we will make your best buddy's stay as comfortable and stress free as possible! My name is Sharon. Maggie & Raffy are the Aussie and the Collie (pictured). A passion for dogs and making them feel safe and secure while they are in our care is above everything else! I left the corporate world last year right before Sandy hit. I spent months looking for the same graphic design job only because it was what I had been doing for the past 30 years. Alongside my graphic's profession, my true passion for animals coexisted and although I have spent most of my life with dogs, cats and horses, I failed to see how I could work with them everyday until a few months ago. I decided to throw myself into creating the best possible home based experience your dog could have away from the safety and comfort of their own home. I started by cleaning out the walk out basement and hiring a contractor to come in and renovate the space so it is uber dog friendly! There is room to run around and play and the floor is a surface where the dogs can maintain their grip and not slide all over but easily cleaned up if there happens to be any "accidents". I also had a fence installed and the yard is not huge but large enough for the dogs to run and wrestle and play and just overall be happy! The yard is easily accessed to the playroom plus there is a very large deck that overlooks the lake and the pups have a great time watching the ducks, herons and turtles that frequent the area right in front of them. Overnight stays, dogs have free roam of the house and they can choose where they want to sleep in most cases. Puppies that are not house trained may be crated but I will provide an outside visit mid way between going to bed and morning. I did it with my own puppies and understand their kidneys are not developed enough to hold it too long. Dogs that have stayed here go home relaxed and usually pretty tired from all the playing. I have gotten great comments and repeat customers. The point is that I adore dogs and I love what I am doing.
