Detailed description is We support East High School sports, its teams and participants because sports provide an opportunity for all kids to succeed. The Madison East High School Purgolder Boosters are an all-volunteer parent-run organization that provides financial support for twenty-five athletic teams. Our motto is "Achieving Excellence Through Athletics" because we believe in that participation in high school athletics has a positive impact on academic achievement, school attendance and post-high school aspirations. Team sports provide opportunities to build time management, problem-solving and leadership skills. Athletics teach students self-control, self-confidence and self-esteem. It also allows members to improve and maintain their physical health. . . Purgolder Boosters raise much needed funds for new and safer equipment, replacement uniforms, concussion testing and scholarships through three main activities, booster club memberships, concession stand sales and an annual fundraiser. .
