When I am inviting someone to our church, I tell them we are on the corner of Euharlee and Macedonia road. Often times they will respond by saying something like, “oh yes, that’s the brick church with the cemetery behind it.” My prayer is that one day we will be known for different things, such as:. . The church that’s making a big difference in the community…. The church where I hear so many lives have been changed…. I would love to hear, that’s the church that is going all over the world to share the gospel for Jesus Christ…. That is the multicultural church that includes members from all walks of life, and diverse ethnic and national origins…. We are not known for these things yet, but Macedonia is really much more then the brick church with the cemetery behind it. It is a fellowship of real people, who by the grace of God are connected by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.. . Macedonia was founded in 1847 and has a long history of reaching out to the people of Bartow County. We are not a church that looks to , or lives, in the past. Our focus in on meeting people where they are today and reaching out to them in Christ’s name. It is a church for worshipping God and loving others.. .
