Detailed description is La visita al MAB è un'esperienza unica per scoprire la storia millenaria dell'isola di Sant'Antioco e dell'importante centro urbano dell'antica Sulky.
Il MAB, “Museo Archeologico Ferruccio Barreca” di Sant’Antioco, aperto al pubblico nel 2006 conserva ed espone al suo interno un’ampia gamma di reperti provenienti dall'isola di Sant'Antioco.
Le fasi preistoriche e protostoriche dell’isola sono meno rappresentate mentre gran parte della collezione si riferisce all'importante insediamento urbano sorto sulle sponde orientali dell’isola al principio dell’VIII sec.

e conosciuto con il nome di Sulky o Sulci, caposaldo portuale del distretto territoriale della Sardegna sud-occidentale che, insieme al comparto metallifero dell'Iglesiente, costituisce la sub-regione del Sulcis-Iglesiente.

Il percorso museale segue un criterio topografico e cronologico incentrato sulle tre componenti principali dell’insediamento urbano sin dalle sue origini, pertanto, attualmente rappresentative dell’antico centro di Sulky: l’abitato, le necropoli e il tofet..
I nuclei topografici principali vengono ripartiti nelle tre diverse sale espositive: la Sala 1 dedicata ai contesti di abitato, la Sala 2 e la Sala 3 ai contesti funerari, rispettivamente delle necropoli degli adulti e del santuario con funzione anche funeraria del tofet.
All'interno dei singoli nuclei “topografici” è stato seguito un criterio cronologico, partendo dai rinvenimenti più antichi per arrivare ai più recenti.
Oltre al Museo archeologico sono visitabili l'area sacra del tofet e la sezione etnografica composta da Museo etnografico, villaggio ipogeo e forte sabaudo..
