Detailed description is Providing free education to disadvantaged students in Haiti, one of the world’s poorest regions. My brother and I were born in La Gonave, Haiti. When I was three, my parents relocated to the US, my siblings and I remained in Haiti until my parents were established. At the age of 12, my siblings and I moved to Florida with our parents. I was privileged to acquire an education in the US, obtaining a college degree. As the eldest, my mother was responsible for the care of her siblings and with increased poverty, she was unable to obtain any formal education. This disadvantage has caused significant amounts of distress for her more so as an adult. Seeing her struggle as well as the unchanging levels of poverty and lack of education in Haiti has lead my passion for the foundation. My father acquired L’ecole Dinaus Mixed in 2005. As my father is aging, he has entrusted the operations of the school to my brother and me.. . It is my personal goal to provide a better education and environment for not only the children at L’ecole Dinaus Mixed, but for all children throughout Haiti. Currently, the school is being funded within our own means. However, with all the devastation and storms affecting Haiti, we are in dire need of your help to provide support such as school supplies, food, and other materials these children need for a proper education..
