We really like the sweet and gentle nature of the Old Spots, along with their huge bellies for bacon! Then we learned that they are rare here in the US and we decided to try out breeding our own.

After trying everything we have decided to scale it back a bit and focus on raising the best pork on earth.
We won the Cochon555 in 2015 and it turns out there are more and more people who want heritage pork like us.
So 2017 is our last spring having piglets on the farm.
Our breeders are going to greener pastures and we will have all that much more room for our meat pigs to graze.
We will only raise 10 pigs a year.
Just enough for us and a few for sale.
Why no more than that? Because we don't have enough room for more, really, but we are looking for more beautiful rich and partial shady pastures in the future...
For now, no more pigs in the muddy winter time.
