Detailed description is The Lonnie Martin Memorial Green Room is a place for artists/musicians/fans to gather/jam/share/relax&remember our dear friend Lonnie&the others we've lost Lonnie and Chip's WNAB Camp has always been a favorite hangout for winfielders, a great place to put your feet up and watch the wonderful world of winfield pass by, maybe grab a chili dog and some stuffed olives, have a nap on the couch or just another cup of coffee, give or receive a music lesson, throw candy at some kids, watch a Fine Time Stage show from the porch, etc.. . true to form, Lonnie had many aspirations for the camp's future. he wanted a comfy spot where Fine Time Stage (etc.) bands could rest their feet and clear their minds before/after show...a green room. we talked about maybe having an "instrument check" drop tent. he wanted to record and/or stream performances so those who couldn't attend the festival could still enjoy the music. we love this idea, especially when considering the joy that might bring someone who is unable to attend due to medical concerns or health issues. besides taping live performances, we also talked about doing more intimate "green room session" performances, interviews and funny sound bites/quotes from throughout the festival. we want to make these dreams a reality.. . a small but mighty group of "those kids," as he called us, will be working on organizing the details, gathering talent and supplies, etc. in the next few weeks. if you have questions or are interested in donating/lending any supplies, equipment, time, or talent to the cause, just let us know. either way, please be sure to come by the Lonnie Martin Memorial Green Room this year (near WNAB, along the "little road" next to Fine Time) to see the tributes and to help honor these dreams of his. thank you!.
