Detailed description is Türkiye'nin ilk "A la carte" restoranı. Liman lokantası 1947 yılında İktisat Bakanlığı ve İstanbul Liman İşletmelerinin açtığı bir yarışma sonucunda yerli ve yabancı 21 proje arasından seçilen bir mimari projeyle yapılmış.. . Mekanın ilk işletmecisi Şebinkarahisarlı Hüseyin Bey dir. 1953 yılında Denizcilik bankasın’nın işletmesine geçen Liman lokantasının başına, Atatürk’ün şefliğini uzun yıllar yapmış olan Silvian FONTANA getirilmiş.. . Fontana 1953-1968 yılları arasında buranın şefliğini yapmış ve bu zaman dilimi içerisinde Türkiye’de ilk defa batılı anlamda modern servisi oturtmuş.Geçmişte birçok ünlünün’de uğrak yeriymiş Liman Lokantası.. . Ressam İbrahim Çallı, edebiyatçı Yahya Kemal Beyatlı rakılarını yudumlarken boğazın inanılmaz güzellikteki manzarasının keyfini çıkarmışlar.. . Bir dönem İstanbul’un tanınmış ailelerinin , nişan ve düğün törenleri içinde tercih ettikleri Liman Lokantasının iç dekorasyonu 1997 yılında baştan sona yenilendi. 1997 den bu güne kadar ÇAPA Grup tarafından işletilmektedir…
