La Liga Deportiva Alajuelense es un club de fútbol de Costa Rica, originario de la ciudad de Alajuela.
Fue fundado en 1919 y juega en la Primera División de Costa Rica.
Ha disputado diversos torneos nacionales e internacionales, tales como la Liga de Campeones de la Concacaf, Liga Concacaf, Copa Interclubes de la Uncaf, Copa Interamericana, Copa Sudamericana, Copa Merconorte, Campeonato Centroamericano, entre otros.En el año 2004 pasó a ocupar el puesto número 27 en ranking a nivel mundial, dato que elabora mes a mes el Instituto de Historia y Estadísticas del Fútbol (IFFHS), esto por vencer en la final de la desaparecida Copa Taca 2004 al por entonces campeón de la Copa Libertadores de Sudamérica, el Once Caldas de Colombia.
