Detailed description is We are a nonprofit Christian university serving those who've been called by God and equipping them with much needed low cost education and biblical degrees Our university was founded with the dream & calling of Dr.
Jong Oh Lee (the founding president).
He had the desire to establish a Christian education system for the immigrant families of the United States of America.
That calling was met with the growing need of the Burmese community when he met with Dr.
Stoney Cem, Pastor of Canaan Chin Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
While they formed a high school education system (Lifeway Christian Academy) for the adults, they continued to work to create an university for the future leaders of the Burmese community.
Their goal became a reality with extensive contribution of Dr.
James Simpson, and in 2010, Lifeway Baptist University became a reality..
