With the worldwide financial crisis many people are finding it hard to keep hold of family pets, pay for food or vetinary treatments should an emergency arise. Animal shelters are already overwhelmed with abandoned pets and there are hundreds of heartbreaking stories where families are having to make hard choices for the lack of assistance.. . This is where we come in. We will help fund the cost of vetinary treatment for privately owned animals, those being fostered until new homes can be found and those up for adoption who require treatment before moving to their new home.. We are also raising funds to help in the cost of the sterilisation of cats and dogs to help reduce the numbers of unwanted puppies and kittens that arrive each year. Funds will be given directly the vetinary practices who carry out the work, where we hope to be able to negotiate reduced fees.. . All assistance is means tested, and no money exchanges hands between the association and the person/s requesting help. The associaiton pays for vetinary care direct to the vet agreed to give the care, food and equipment is purchased and delivered to the person/animals requiring it by one of our volunteers . . We are based in France and will help any one living in France including other small associations. Volunteers and fundraisers are required France wide.. .
