Este é um espaço para discussão do Acre e do Brasil..Leonardo Cunha de Brito, conhecido como Léo do PT, nascido em 13 de abril de 1979, em Rio Branco. Filho de Lucinda Cunha e Tácio de Brito e casado com a advogada e professora da UFAC, Jucyane Pontes e pai de Sofia Brito.. . É advogado e professor universitário, formado pela UFAC, pós-graduado em Administração pela Fundação Getúlio Vargas e Mestre em Relações Internacionais pela UFSC. Militante do PT desde a adolescência e filiado desde 1997, participou como estudante secundarista do “Movimento dos Caras-Pintadas”, no Fora Collor. Na Universidade, foi fundador do Centro Acadêmico de Direito da UFAC, em 1999, e Coordenador Geral por duas gestões. Também foi membro da diretoria do DCE/UFAC. Léo também teve atuação no movimento ambientalista, sendo sócio-fundador da Ong Associação Vertente, que trabalha a temática dos recursos hídricos. Militante e ativista político, Léo participou de vários encontros internacionais, como o Fórum Social Mundial, defendendo grandes causas da sociedade. Em 2003, no segundo mandato do governador Jorge Viana (PT), assumiu, com apenas 23 anos, o cargo de Secretário de Estado, na Secretaria Extraordinária da Juventude (SEJA) realizando a implementação de programas importantes, sobretudo para a formação da juventude. Nesse período, fundou e foi eleito presidente do Conselho Estadual da Juventude e vice-presidente do Fórum Nacional de Secretários e Gestores Estaduais de Políticas Públicas de Juventude. Atualmente é professor efetivo do Curso de Direito da Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC), membro do Conselho Editorial da Fundação Perseu Abramo, primeiro suplente de Deputado Federal pela Frente Popular e Presidente reeleito do Diretório Estadual do PT no Acre, exercendo mandato até dezembro de 2013.Foi assessor do governador Tião Viana. Eleito deputado federal, com 20.876 votos nas eleições 2014, representará o Acre na Câmara Federal até 2018..
