www.legacycmhs.org Legacy the School of Sport Sciences (Legacy) is an innovative and rigorous proposed charter school that offers an integrated high school and college curriculum that focuses on preparing student athletes to meet their collegiate and professional goals academically, athletically and professionally.
Legacy’s unique concept will set itself apart from other schools by combining an intermediate, high school, college and corporate industry partners to the professions within athletics.
Each student athlete will be exposed to professions that will keep them involved in the game and not just on the field of play.
At Legacy a lead industry partner will guide the professional focus curriculum.
The curriculum will endorse student ownership; each student will be empowered with skills, information, and tools to manage their own learning.
The four professional pathways consist of the following: Coaching, Athletic Administration, Sports Medicine (Sports STEM) and Sports Media.
Legacy recognizes that the sports industry today is a wide reaching business that spans the field of play.
