Lamoille Ambulance Service (LAS) was created in 1974 by Chuck and Lee Hoag of Johnson, Vermont.
The Hoags began expanding the company in 1977, adding ambulances to the fleet.
The Service grew to the greater Burlington VT area at the request of Medical Center Hospital of Vermont (now Fletcher Allen Health Care) in 1987.
Robert Hoag became company president in 1992.
In 1995, LAS joined in a partnership with Fletcher Allen Health Care forming Fletcher Allen Coordinated Transport (FACT), which ran through 2004.
In the early 1990s, LAS began operating services within Clinton and Essex Counties inRobert Hoag northeastern New York State.
Currently, LAS provides non-emergency ambulance transport to residents of Chittenden and surrounding counties in Northern Vermont as well as providing Basic and Advanced Life Support Services to the communities of Northern New York within established mutual aid agreements..
