Detailed description is Pagina ufficiale de La Locanda, bed & breakfast aperto in edificio storico di pregio a Riola Sardo (Oristano, Sardegna) La Locanda, situata in pieno centro storico a Riola Sardo (provincia di Oristano Sardegna), nasce a fine degli anni 80 da una sapiente ristrutturazione di un’antica casa padronale del 1800, eretta utilizzando archi portanti in arenaria, oggi ben in vista in tutta la struttura.. Al piano terra si trova la cucina e una piccola sala dove viene servita la prima colazione e la cena nei mesi invernali, mentre al primo e al secondo piano si trovano le 6 camere da letto, doppie e triple, alcune delle quali dispongono di bagno interno e climatizzazione.. Nel cortile de La Locanda si apre un ampio giardino con prato verde, un albero di limoni, un arancio, due ulivi e una piccola collezione di piante grasse, passione di Liliana.. . La struttura nacque a fine 1800 per ospitare la caserma dei carabinieri. . La scelta di costruire la struttura ad archi portanti in arenaria fu una scelta obbligata, in quanto fu la prima casa a più piani costruita a Riola Sardo.. All'interno del giardino vi è una cisterna sotterranea che veniva utilizzata per l'approvvigionamento idrico, nella quale veniva raccolta l'acqua piovana, o in mancanza di essa, prelevata dal vicino paese di San Vero Milis e trasportata con carri trainati dai buoi, in giare di terracotta. Oggi è utilizzata per la conservazione dell’olio e del vino.. Nei davanzali delle finestre al primo piano sono ancora presenti le soglie originali con le firme di alcuni carabinieri e le date in cui hanno prestato servizio a Riola Sardo. . A seguito del trasferimento della caserma, la struttura diventerà sede del centro di cultura UNLA e di RADIO RIOLA SOUND, l’unica emittente radio nata a Riola.
