Clarke Cushing is a second-generation veterinarian, learning from his father Dr. Laurence S. Cushing (Larry), who owned and operated Equine Gambit Inc., Warwick, MD. Dr. Cushing began his education at the University of Maryland in the field of Animal Sciences, graduating with honors. He then furthered his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, earning his Veterinary Medical Doctorate. After graduating in 1978, Dr. Cushing began his career at the Equine Gambit specializing in equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and reproduction. He began his own mobile equine practice, L.
