Nærmere bestemt Kvås i Lyngdal Kommune..
Norges lengste laksetrapp i tunnel, hvor du kan kikke "direkte inn i elva" og få muligheten til å se laks, aure og ål svømme..
Naturbaserte utstillinger og selskapslokaler.
Sommeren 2017 står bygget vårt ferdig!.

Vi har en helt unik plassering, helt ute på juvkanten nedenfor den flotte Kvåsfossen..

Her har vi enkel kafé, lokaler til utstillinger, møtevirksomhet og arrangement, og ikke minst en kjeller som rommer Norges lengste laksetrapp i tunnel..
.
Trappa er 220 meter lang, har 46 kulper og en stigning på ca 20 meter..
.
En 60 meter lang tunnel leder publikum inn til en liten fjellhall.
I denne fjellhallen har vi lagd en ekstra stor kulp som har 4 store vinduer..
Her kan man stå å se på når fisken kommer svømmende forbi på sin ferd gjennom tunnelen forbi Kvåsfossen.
Man ser direkte inn i elva, så det er aldri godt å vite hva man får sett....

Vi satte vann på trappa for første gang 15 Juni 2014.
Inntil da hadde aldri laks og sjøaure hatt mulighet til å komme seg forbi Kvåsfossen og videre oppover vassdraget.
Lygna er et fredet vassdrag helt uten regulering.
Her er det kun naturen som regjerer.
Lygna bykser opp og ned alt etter hvor mye regn og smeltevann som kommer.
Det gjør at det alltid er noe interessant å se på ved Kvåsfossen, både tørke og flom..

Selve anlegget under bakken, Laksetrappa, er et offentlig spleiselag.
Lyngdal Kommune, Hægebostad Kommune, Vest Agder fylkeskommune og Sørnorsk Kystnatur er de store bidragsyterne.
Gaver fra Elveeierlag og banker kom også godt med..

Bygget som nå står ferdig ved Kvåsfossen er et privat prosjekt som legger ned over 8 mill.
og en haug med dugnad for å få sving på "Kvåsfossen - Sørnorsk Laksesenter".
