After graduating from NSER I completed my secondary education at Saint Francis Xavier University where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Human Nutrition.
I then continued my education with my Diploma of Dietetics learning from the best Registered Dietitians in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, then becoming one myself in 2014.

With a keen interest in Diabetes Education the next stop was Thompson, Manitoba.
Here I worked with an interdisciplinary diabetes education team in the management, prevention and associated complications of Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes and Pre-diabetes.
Working throughout Northern Manitoba allowed me to achieve the necessary hours to become eligible to be a Certified Diabetes Educator, which was obtained in May 2016.

After 3 years in the north and many flights home, it was time to move on to achieve my main goal as a Dietitian: to better the health and wellness of MY community, to give back to MY people and be a part of MY home.
