Each student begins training as a “no-belt” and earns his/her white belt on their 5th lesson.
Progressing through the colored belts requires that each student pass a test consisting of forms, or “poomse”, kicking combinations, sparring, self-defense, and Korean terminology.
The dedicated trainee can achieve their black belt in 3 years.
Once a martial artist reaches black belt at Kor-Am, he/she can expect black belt class, black belt camp, tournament judging and referee training, weapons training and continuing advancement through the 9 degrees of Black Belt..
