Founded in 2008, the school serves students in junior kindergarten through grade 8.HistoryThe establishment of Kona Pacific Public Charter School began with the closing of a private Waldorf school on the site the current school occupies. A team of parent and community volunteers began the process to apply for a public charter school. In 2007, the proposed school received a $164,000 grant from the United States Department of Education to help plan, design and start the school. The school opened for the 2008-09 school year with kindergarten through fourth grade. Additional grades will be added in successive years.CampusThe Kona Pacific campus is located on 40acre surrounded by fields and forests.
