Members of the Kilmore Art Society and Kilmore Chamber of Commerce wanted to create an artistic trail along the Kilmore creek walking track beside the Kilmore creek.. The aim to diversify the creek corridor, increase visual appeal, and to improve connections with the Kilmore shopping precinct.. Also to celebrate the significant history of Kilmore as the oldest, gazetted and settled, inland township in Victoria.. and that the Art Walk be a place of recreation and learning about local history whilst residents and visitors will be engaging in exercise and strengthening social ties.. . .
