After graduating from college, Karen followed three generations of family onto Wall Street. Karen went to work with Shearson Lehman on the 103rd floor of One World Trade Center in New York City and eventually transferred to Washington, DC to continue her career in finance as a Financial Advisor with Prudential-Bache Securities - and then with A.G. Edwards & Sons, now Wachovia Wells Fargo; obtaining four NASD licenses 7, 3, 63 and 41. Four years after meeting at the Tombs, Richard and Karen were married at Holy Trinity Church, their parish in Georgetown. In 1994, when invited by Richard to work at Persona Studios, Karen made the career choice to join her husband and leave the world of finance. In an effort to expand their reach, Karen founded, owned and operated Gala, a Georgetown art and framing gallery, for four years while working at Persona. Having had to close Gala in 2007, Karen still draws from that experience, as well as her art talent and financial background.. .
