Detailed description is 醫王山無量寿院薬王寺は、四国八十八カ所第23番霊場であり、弘法大師厄除根本御祈願所として全国にその名を知られております。 醫王山無量寿院薬王寺は、神亀３年（726年）、行基菩薩が聖武天皇の勅願を受け、この地に巡錫し、一寺を建立された。.
弘仁６年（815年）、弘法大師42歳のとき、平城上皇の勅命によって本尊厄除薬師如来を刻んで開基した阿波の国薬王寺は、四国八十八ヶ所第23番の霊場であり、厄除根本御祈願所として全国にその名を知られている。.
