Detailed description is We take previously loved grom and small adult snowboards and upcycle them into powder boards for little shredders.
In the spring of 2015, my grom and I were trying to figure out how to get the most out of the late season powder (and looking for a father/son project for the week off school).
Since there's no such thing as a powder-specific snowboard for groms, we decided to make one..

Taking a shorter previously loved board, we crafted a powder board fit for a 7 year old.
It featured a swallow-tail and a lean back stance.

It was a HUGE hit.
After a couple of runs getting used to the larger surface area and the speed/commitment required, my grom's love of powder exploded.

His back leg scream didn't in exhaustion after a couple of turns, he didn't sink into the snow even at speed, and he didn't have to pick up a new set of skills required to ride while leaning way back because the board let him ride with something closer to his normal position because it leaned back due to it's shape..

And best of all, he didn't get tired and want to call it a day after only a run or two, which meant more powder for both of us..

Seeing how well it worked, and also how many heads his new mini-pow board turned, my son asked if we could make more and sell them so he could afford one of the few things he still liked as much as fresh powder turns: Lego..

So a father and son snowboard empire was born, or at least started.
Over the summer we upcycled a batch of boards with new shapes and paintjobs and are now selling them to mostly cover our costs.
