History was already in the making on August 20, 1997 when the vision of a new and unique church was prophesied under the power of the Holy Spirit through Bishop C.L. Carter. . . Little did we know this vision would become Just Jesus Word Of God Church, the House Of Body Builders. The name Just Jesus was inspired by the Holy Spirit through Reverend Walker and confirmed by some members.. . . . Reading the Word Of God, there is always a beginning:. . In Genesis 1:1 “In The Beginning”; John 1:1 “In The Beginning Was”; 1st John 1:1 “That Which Was From The Beginning”. . On Saturday Nov. 1, 1997 at First Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Bishop.C.L. Carter with Pastor Walker and 13 devout members agreeing that “upon this rock, we will build our Church.” This rock being the Word Of God. Reverend Eric Walker Sr. was presented to the body of the church as Pastor and Founder of Just Jesus Word of God Church.. . The Church Motto comes from Zechariah 4:6b . . “NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS.”. . Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit which comes to guide us into all truth and the leadership of Pastor Eric Walker Sr., the process began. Our first service as JUST JESUS WORD OF GOD CHURCH was at the Holiday Inn in Riverdale, GA where we worshipped for 17 months. In November 1997, we were welcomed and blessed by Pastor Willard Smith of New Life Christian Ministry to have bible study in their sanctuary for as long as God saw fit. In November 1998, after one year as Just Jesus Word Of God Church, we were welcomed and blessed by another church, Mt Calvary Missionary Baptist Church led by Pastor Robert Crummie. They opened their doors to us and we held our first church anniversary there. The message that day was delivered by Pastor Al Harris of Macedonia Baptist Church, Cartersville, Ga. The second sunday of November each year we celebrate our church anniversary. As we began to grow, the Lord blessed so that we could move into a larger facility.
