Detailed description is Josbach ist einer von sechs Ortsteilen der Stadt Rauschenberg im hessischen Landkreis Marburg-Biedenkopf. Der vom gleichnamigen Josbach durchflossene Ort liegt verkehrsgünstig an der Bundesstraße 3 zwischen Marburg und Kassel.Am 31. Dezember 1971 wurde Josbach in die Stadt Rauschenberg eingegliedert.Seit 2006 ist der Ort ins Dorferneuerungsprogramm des Landes Hessen eingebunden, die dortigen Projekte befinden sich zurzeit noch im Planungsstadium. Im Dezember 2010 startete die Nahwärmeversorgung von über 30 Genossenschaftsmitgliedern durch die Biogasanlage des Aussiedlerhofes Staffel. Josbach trägt damit den Titel "Bioenergiedorf".Josbach, das im Jahr 1997 sein 800-jähriges Bestehen feiern konnte, hat heute etwas mehr als 400 Einwohner, das erschlossene Neubaugebiet lässt aber baldigen Zuwachs erwarten.Die VereineDer Ort kann ein reges Vereinsleben vorweisen.
