No Brasil, a Igreja foi introduzida em junho de 1955 e, atualmente, possui 509 unidades denominadas Johrei Centers, com cerca de dois milhões e meio de messiânicos entre ministrantes de Johrei e simpatizantes, e filiais em mais de 70 países.. . O objetivo principal da Igreja Messiânica é a construção do Paraíso Terrestre – um mundo isento de doença, miséria e conflito – criando e difundindo uma civilização religiosa que se desenvolva lado a lado com o progresso material.
