Our goal is to continue the legacy of John De Marco, who is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and a well respected coach and clinician in the New Jersey wrestling community for the last 38 years. . . We believe that wrestling, although small in comparison to other sports, requires strength of character that is demanded by few others. For those of us lucky enough to be impacted directly by Coach De Marco his words of inspiration have fueled generations of outstanding young men. These words are the motto for the foundation: . . “What you ardently desire, sincerely believe in, enthusiastically act upon, valiantly strive for must inevitably come to pass” Coach John De Marco. . Each student that receives this scholarship has worked hard and maintained the discipline that is needed to excel in the academic realm as well as the athletic. This scholarship will be presented to those students pursuing their college education..
