Detailed description is Jill's Flowers are delivered weekly by Shana Vaughn Designs to local KC cancer fighters. Our hope is that the arrangements will help brighten their day! I believe that flowers can bring beauty, joy and peace to a home and love how a beautiful arrangement can lift your spirits.. . I delivered flowers to Jill Heckman the summer of 2017 as a 'thank you' for some work that her son did for me.. . If you don't know JIll, she was a wonderful person, a dedicated Mom, a beautiful friend, daughter, sister, athlete and a fierce fighter.. Her cancer fight started in 2014. Through her illness, Jill was inspired to start Jill's Hope, a foundation that helps provide funding for integrated therapies for cancer fighters.. . After that first delivery, I realized that I wanted Jill to have fresh flowers every week.. . Every Thursday, I brought flowers to her home.. . Jill's battle ended on Thursday, August 24th, 2017. I would not be delivering Jill's flowers that day. I was overwhelmingly heartbroken. . . Through the tears, I had an epiphany:. "Someone should recieve Jill's flowers that day and every Thursday after".. . Jill's Flowers started that day. Every Thursday, we deliver flowers to someone whose day needs brightening.. .
