Detailed description is Family-Owned Beef business Owned and founded by Gary Jamieson (my father) (workaholic!!), he oversees the business, as well as works over his head in it, being the butcher at the start of the week, making rounds to check over his cows (along with his beloved saint-bernard puppy Jaymie), delivers beef orders to residential customers and to towns nearby.
Does quite a bit of farm work, but thank goodness has some excellent hired help to lighten the load tremendously for him.
Let's not forget his weekend jaunts to Moncton where he manages a booth at the Dieppe Farmer's Market year-round...and this is where I come in (his daughter) Emily Jamieson Bellefleur, I grew up in this business.
Solidly taught by my parents the how-to's of customer service, sales and some marketing, I applied what they taught me to other areas of my life until it directed me back to our family business.
Now I manage a booth for my father as well, as a sales representative, at the Moncton Farmer's Market, also year-round, since July 2009.
During the week, I am working at continuing to develop what my parents have taught me and make myself available to the people of Moncton tri-city area for calls and orders, and am working on some marketing projects.
I replace in Dieppe whenever needed, and basically, I help out my dad in any way I can.
Home is where the heart is...and like they say, you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl! Now, my mother is a do-it-all as well.
From secretary and accounting, doing most of the paperwork, she also makes an excellent sales rep at the Grand Falls Farmer's Market during the summer months.
She's also kept busy by delivering beef orders as well, locally and to surrounding towns as well.
She makes sure everybody gets paid and stays happy :) haha.
She also keeps my father well fed with her delicious home-cooking...mmmm....and somehow puts up with him.
I'm saying this because my father and I have VERY similar personalities and my husband has to put up with the same thing :D.
My dear Grampy is also very nice and willing to help out with the delivering and such.
He is the source of where my father gets his farming roots from.

But it's not just family family!!! We also have excellent people in our meat shop ensuring our beef is cut and wrapped to the customer's satisfaction.
Every family business needs some outside help!! We are very grateful to have what we have...and my father has worked mostly his entire life to get where he is today, and for that I truly admire him.
I consider him my mentor, and hope to see myself continue advancing in this business as long as I can and of course continue learning from my dad as I go along.
