Društvo IVSA Slovenija (International Veterinary Students Association - Mednarodno združenje študentov veterine) spada pod okrilje mednarodne organizacije, ki že 63 let združuje študente veterinarstva z vsega sveta.
Ker se zavedamo, da gresta znanje in praksa z roko v roki, so naše glavne aktivnosti zagotavljanje individualnih strokovnih praks za študente v tujini, strokovne skupinske izmenjave med študenti veterinarstva iz različnih držav in številni obštudijski programi.
Pri izvajanju individualnih strokovnih praks je naloga društva omogočiti študentu dvo- ali tri-tedensko prakso v želeni državi, kjer deluje lokalno društvo IVSA.
IVSA organizira tudi skupinske izmenjave študentov (20-30 hkrati), kjer naši študentje teden dni gostujejo v tujini, tuji študentje pa nam obisk vrnejo na enak način.
IVSA Slovenija skrbi tudi za organizacijo drugih obšolskih dejavnosti, kot so npr.: forumi, izobraževanja in izobraževalni izleti.
Poleg tega pa se lahko vsi študentje udeležijo Mednarodnega IVSA kongresa (10 dni, poleti) ter Mednarodnega IVSA simpozija (7 dni, pozimi), kjer potekajo različne delavnice, strokovna predavanja in praksa, spoznavanje veterinarske medicine v tujih državah ter navezovanje stikov s študenti z vsega sveta.
