Detailed description is Founded by Dr. Cynthia Knight, Iowa NET High Academy is a cutting-edge, alternative high school aimed at providing one-on-one, individualized and project-centered instruction to students who have dropped out of the conventional public school system. Iowa NET High Academy partners with public school districts across Iowa to reach students who are at-risk or who have dropped out of high school, and for whom standard alternative education options are not feasible. With our proven track record and cadre of licensed, committed educators, we are truly the "alternative to the alternative" for students working toward a high school diploma or GED.. . Our system uses a holistic approach, addressing each student's individual interests and barriers to education. To ensure that income is not a factor in educational attainment, NET High students are immediately supplied with a free, Wi-Fi capable laptop computer. Any student who is hungry will receive free meals when meeting with a NET High staffer. We tutor students in safe, comfortable environments of their choice, at times of their choosing to better accommodate work schedules or other factors.. .
