Como a afetividade sempre foi ponto relevante na relação com seus alunos, à direção da escola escolhe este nome para homenagear o ex-aluno: Eros Gustavo Rodrigues.
O aluno faleceu aos 5 anos de idade em um acidentena linha ferroviária próxima de sua casa.
