In January 2011, an affiliation agreement was established between the IU School of Dentistry and HealthNet People's Health and Dental Center.
HealthNet is the largest federally qualified health center in the state of Indiana.

The IUSD Student Outreach Clinic at People's Health and Dental Center is now serving the near Eastside neighborhood of Indianapolis providing dental services such as education, screenings, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
All student dental services are directly supervised by IU faculty dentist volunteers..
