Detailed description is - We’ve noticed that many of the events that SGA hosts on campus seem to be somewhat underwhelming and sometimes have smaller turnouts than expected.
We want our events to be huge! SGA has a significant amount of money in an account available for use for such events.
We would like to put events on more often, and spend more money on those events.
Doing this would bolster student involvement on campus and would make SGA and its operations on campus more popular and accessible to students..

- It often seems as though many students are unaware of many of the ideas and decisions that SGA develops and makes on campus.
We firmly believe that communication with all of McNeese’s students is essential; we would like to form a committee within SGA dedicated to student outreach and give them to power to form and operate Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts for SGA, and to create a “questions and comments” email system in which students could ask questions, comment on ideas, and give suggestions to our officers at any time! We’d also like to create a weekly system in which SGA would post that week’s minutes online so that students, faculty, and staff all have the opportunity to review what our meetings consist of.

- Though SGA is a serious subject for every member of our student populous, we also want students to have fun! We’d like to propose an annual festival in which we would rent out a location on campus and invite musical artists from all across the nation to play for McNeese students and to promote on-campus involvement.
We’d like to incorporate food trucks, hometown acts, headlining performances, and music and food of all genres and tastes to showcase just how diverse and fun our SGA – and student body – can be!.
