The HDNCA is an association of beef producers committed to serving our industry and to preserving the way of life that we prize so highly. We believe the values on which that way of life is based make for a better community, state and nation.. . We are involved in promoting our product as well as making our voices heard on the political scene. In an age of environmental concerns, we are proud of the fact that ranchers are “Environmentalists” in the truest sense of the word.. . Cattlemen are sometimes criticized for being too independent; however, as agriculture becomes more subsidized and controlled, we can rightfully take pride in our ability to cope with the secondary effects of other government programs.. . We are affiliated with the California Cattlemen’s Association and with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
