This fall semester program provides students with hands-on experience in the vast wilderness of Arctic ecosystems, ranging from marine habitats to interior taiga and tundra locations from late summer (August) through fall to early winter (November).

Field trips will take you to the Wrangell–St.
Elias National Park, Denali National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park, Chugach National Forest, Valdez and Prince William Sound, the Arctic Circle, the Forty Mile Country (near the Yukon River) and the Museum of the North at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, as well as local native villages where missionaries are working.

The Alaska Semester runs from the beginning of August 1 to mid-November and includes a core of four courses:.
