El día 3 de junio de 1988 se hace la formal inauguración con la presencia del Presidente Lic.
Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado y el Dr.
Carlos Adame Saldívar, Jefe de los Servicios Coordinados de Salud en el Estado de Chihuahua e inicia sus labores a partir del 6 de junio de 1988, contando con 45 camas para hospitalización, el 23 de junio se atendió el primer parto, el 24 se hospitaliza al primer pacientes mientras que el 29 de realiza la primera cirugía en el nosocomio.
