Detailed description is Hivron Horse Haven is a livery stables which specialises in the care of retired, box rested and convalescing horses. We also offer holiday livery.. . Since I was 3-4years old, my passion for horses has given me a life long experience with them, even whilst I was travelling they were never far away.. . I opened Hivron Horse Haven 8 years ago. From my own experience I realised there were very few facilities offering the specialised care and stressless environment that old or injured horses require.. . Also with the rising costs of fuel and work pressures keeping a horse or pony at a specialist stables like ours, rather than at a DIY stables can actually be a more cost effective and less stressless option for both horse and owner.. . We are set amongst the beautiful countryside on the Mid Wales/Herefordshire border,and our horses really do have a room with a view!. . We care for our horses as individuals and they all have lots of tlc and one to one with us. The retired horses are teamed up with one, maybe two suitable companions in post and rail paddocks, backed up with mains electric fencing surrounding well kept established pasture paddocks.. . We have extra large stables for box rested horses, plus a fantastic view to keep them entertained! We aid recovery through the use of equissage massage to help circulation and muscle problems and magnetic boots for certain leg injuries.. . During the winter months all horses are stabled at night or have access to field shelters, depending on what routine suits each horse and what their owner may prefer for them. During the day they are turned out to enjoy their freedom and just enjoy being horses. During the summer months we use the stables and shelters to avoid the flies and help the fatties control their inevitable weight gain!. . We are here to give every horse a happy, stressfree life whether they are here to retire or convalesce.. .
